Once completing all areas of my website design, I sent out a Google Form to my peers, to collect feedback that could improve my website further. These were the results:



To sum up the feedback, most of my peers suggested adding inspirations within industry and adding more contact information, such as my LinkedIn. These would be good additions to my website, as it gives more of an insight to who I aspire to be like and who has shaped me into the person I am / would like to be. Adding my LinkedIn will provoke a sense of professionalism, as it shows I am willing to connect with those in industry.


This is what my "About Me" page looks like so far. It does give a bit of insight to who I am as a media student, but not much about my aspirations within the media industry. Taking on my peers' suggestions will bring this section a bit of life and provide more information about me.























Here is my updated 'About Me' page, including my industry inspirations. I chose the black and white pictures to fit with my colour scheme and overall feel of my website.

 Showreel Design Research To start with my showreel research, I took to YouTube to try and spot common themes throughout each one.  Upon my research, I found a playlist of other Year 2 Level 3 Media students' showreels. This was beneficial to my own, as I could apply or differ from the running themes of these videos.   Most of them included: Upbeat, energetic music Short snippets of each project spread out, to keep the attention of the audience Subtitles explaining each project Personal / business logo's to present each video These points make an effective showreel as the correct music is so important. B1: Final Website Design

 Final Website Design After the feedback I received from my peers on my Google Form, this is the final version of my website  . Taking suggestions from my peers, I added an "Industry Inspirations" section to my "About Me" page and my LinkedIn to the "Contact" page. I decided to update my website with these additions as my peers' opinions are important, due to them knowing what they would like to see out of a website. These suggestions allow the viewer of my website to become more knowledgable on who I am and how they can find me.

 Mock Interview Preparing Practice Media company- BBC -They provide news based on British Values of accuracy, impartiality and fairness. Their website states they want to bring news to "help people understand and engage with the world around them" -The BBC wants to reflect the UK, its culture and values to the world -They put their audience at the heart of everything they do Their interviews (usually with 2 or 3 BBC workers) want to know all about your skills, achievements and behaviours. To help prepare us for the mock interviews, which are part of our personal progression unit, we were given the chance to write an example answer in response to the statement 'Give an example of a time you worked in a team'.
